I agree with you completely, America is filled with ignorant masses willing to give up their education for entertainment. News services no longer report the news, instead they entertain the masses with gory suicide bombings and gripping tsunamis that are so graphic you can almost hear the blast of the action movie bomb simulating the Terminator entertainment (I’m also a Californian). American masses easily allow themselves to be manipulated by media members and political figureheads because they don’t like to waste time on thinking. When you read something entertaining you don’t really have to analyze or think about its results, Americans love to blast their minds away at entertainment after a long day of hard work at the office. They think they deserve the right to their TV, their entertainment, and their ignorance because they just had an eight-hour workday. Damn its good they never took time to learn about developing third world nation's daily work routines, eight hour work day my ass. Yes they believe (not think) that they deserve their pick up truck and their two-story house (because it is their right to a four wheel drive after all right?). They deserve those things and when someone tries to snatch it from them they become so scared. Did you know that the New York Times reported a survey revealing that the most grieving and stressful situation for Americans was the loss of their jobs, not a loved one’s death, not divorce, or the war, no they would be most saddened by the loss of their jobs because it is the key to their pick up and two story house. Americans believe they deserve that pick up and have become too cushioned from their longstanding and unquestioned rights and national hierarchy that they do not think they deserve less and do not think any internal conflicting political force could undermine those rights. Yet even though Americans are pompous they are also easily scared, scared by figure heads that are supposed to be our relying stem of support and assurance. Politicians and Media corporations exploit this tool of fear because it is the most overwhelming manipulation over Americans. Media Corporations exploit our fear in order to increase sales. The stories become more like action thrillers that entertain with suspense over the rate of rapid gunfire bombarding the "collateral damage". Bush exploits our fear by
