The American Association for Russian Language, Culture and Education (AARCE) is pleased to invite you to participate in a special event on cross-cultural family relations and raising bilingual children.
Together with the Russian Cultural Center, AARCE will be hosting a series of seminars and discussions on Saturday, October 29, and Sunday, October 30, addressing various issues that typically arise in cross-cultural family environments, including cross-cultural families and families of first, second, third, fourth (and beyond)-generation immigrants in America. Some of the issues that will be addressed include cross-cultural relations among spouses and other family members, differences in societal and cultural expectations, the challenges and benefits of raising bilingual children, and the positive experience of the Russian Diaspora in America in sustaining its cultural and linguistic values.
