Here's an article from Time.com and CNN, dubiously titled "How Iran Has Bush Over a Barrel".

Apparently, Iran is flying military aircrafts over neutral territory around their country in the Persian Gulf. That is considered BAD by US Propaganda, because Iran doesn't want to give up their own country and oil, and instead is threating to retaliate if U.S. or Israel decide to attack them.

Normal stuff, right? Regular defensive comments. I BET ANY COUNTRY would retaliate when their territory is attacked without a reason. Any, if it has any military left (Iraq is no more).

Not in CNN/Time propaganda camp. Apparently, CNN/Time propaganda camp is moving full steam ahead towards FoxNews, which is positioned well into "military totalitarian" to "fascist" territory on our scale of world media outlets. CNN is approaching it, fast. As gas goes past $4 into an unknown $5/gallon territory, media becomes more and more hysterical.

Finally, one can clear said they've lost touch with reality AND lost most of their listeners, hopefully. Let me quote from this article:

"Israel cannot attack or contain Iran on its own; it needs the full military might of the United States behind it".

This is clear, cold-blooded talk about attacking a HUGE wealthy country. If this isn't NUTS, if this isn't CRAZY TALK, if this isn't O'Reily-and-Glen-Beck pseudo patriotism a.k.a. militarism-fascism, I don't know what is.

Somebody needs to stop these wackos.

Danny, howdy Smile

Here's link to Wikipedia, Countries by Gross Domestic Product (Nominal): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)
Iran is #29, right behind Denmark, Greece, Austria and Saudi Arabia, and above Argentina, Ireland, Finland and Portugal.

But regardless, this article is just crazy talk by a military nut, linked from main page of CNN.com. Which made them lose any credibility that was left in my book. I don't see it any other way.

What we ought to be doing, is building an independent solar grid. You and I and Joe America should be looking into putting solar panels on our roofs to get off the grid. Because by the time we are done, we
a) will be off the grid hopefully having a very little dependence on oil, and
b) can just ignore oil+military junta that is currently in power in U.S. of A. Let the bastards retire and die off, and hopefully new guys will care more.

I don't see this country electing a sane leader while junta is in charge of the news.

I will elaborate more. Our "leaders" are preaching to dismiss "tyrants" Smile they already removed Saddam, and have an eye on a couple of other countries. Now, lets transform the same language back on us. In the eyes of the world, U.S. is a dangerous country that attacks others without any valid reason. That shows their military might instead of a reason day after day after day.

Don't you think world powers should get together, attack us and dismiss our crazy leaders? Roll Eyes Cool

That is if we are incapable of doing it ourselves... Roll Eyes

This is a logical conclusion derived from our own foreign policies. Wink

yeap, Canada

then Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Venezuela, Nigeria, Iraq
http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/petroleum/data_publications/company_level_imports/current/import.html

but it' also would be interesting to learn how much USA pays for oil/petroleum.

from some countries they take it virtually for free. so the country still stays poor, even though they "export" oil.

so it's funny. the oil is almost free for USA, but the prices are high. the Oil companies made some good profit.

their stocks have been doing really good for the last several years.

on TV they showed many Americans are really pissed, that while the economy is ****ed up, but still certain companies make a lot of profitSmile but some said, thats' it's ok, it's capitalismWink
