Sheriff, I was reading this morning about FF not supporting it's older version 1.5. How do I know if I'm running FF 2.0?
I've snooped around my computer to look and see if I have the newest version, but I can't seem to find the proper place to find out. Frown.
Where do I look?
And is their any truth about a FF version 3? Or is that a malicious threat? To try to put another virus on my computer?

Firefox is the browser, it is a Windows application just like any other (like Internet Explorer too). Most Windows applications have a standard for placing version information. Typically, it is in the Top menu, in the most-right (or close-to-the right) menu HELP. Usually versions are in Help>>About (this software name) menu. Select that, and a window will pop up with version.

Most current version of FireFox (as of today) is 2.0. You can check it here (Официальная страница браузера FireFox):
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

There's a Beta release of version 3 right now, basically what "Beta" means it is a release for developers, coders and early adopters. There will be bugs in it, and some features added or removed once the full official release comes out. You can download it to see how it looks, but I wouldn't recommend using it "as user" until it fully and officially out.

Here you go, here's where you can get a Beta version of FireFox (бета версия браузера FireFox здесь):

Thank you Sheriff. Help says I am using version 2.0.0.7.
The link you provided say,, download version 2.0.0.11 for free.
I like using the FF browser better than I.E.

Doesn't Beta mean "In development"?

No, "beta" means it is out of development (mostly). It is a second phase of testing, as in "alpha", "beta", ... Smile

But quite often problems are uncovered in beta that lead to adding or removing features from software.

Sheriff, I think we're both kind of right.
Omega, would mean the end. As in Alpha, Omega. First and last. From the Greek alphabet. But in this instance, yes. End of development.
