I'd like to voice an opinion about Elections in USA, and hear your comments.
I think, elections and campaigning process in USA is no different than in most of the countries - there's corruption, deal-making, false campaigns in media. There's 2 candidates from the same camp - big-money, neo-"liberal", CFR-elitistic group. We "elect", or at least pretend to elect, these people to govern us. In exchange, we get lies, propaganda, corporate scandals and insane profits, and illegal wars. I think it is time for us to step up and do a better job filtering out garbage. We need to select better candidates.
I have a simple suggestion to make electorial process at least somewhat democratic. I believe anyone who'd read this will agree.
My suggestion:
No propaganda campaigning on TV is allowed. None. Instead, each candidate will HAVE to have at least 2 hour-long appearances on TV on most channels, in a discussion-like environment, and will have to voice his/her opinion on at least 5 of the following 10 issues:
1) Federal Budget, spending, largest stakes, deficit 2) Taxes 3) Fiscal Policies - inflation, money printing, $ expansion, stocks, corporate profits, etc. 4) Healthcare 5) Pensions 6) Foreign Policy 7) Energy 8) Education 9) Immigration 10) Environmental Issues
It should be a question-answer discussion, or a debate, NO PREWRITTEN MARKETING SCRIPT IS ALLOWED.
Ten issues can be changed every Elections, but have to be UNIVERSALLY VOTED on.
--
Each candidate will be then a subject to a Universal pre-Election voting process, at which point WE THE PEOPLE select final 2 presidential candidates.

it'll probly make some sense, but i do not think the they are gonna like it no propaganda on TV:-) they'll find something esle. For example I believe Zhirinovsky used to give out beer Guesser in exchange for votes, one can=one vote:-)
then you need also remove all this republican/democrat bullshet too. so people can vote for a particular president, and not for the party their friends and family traditionally vote for. now, if your family has voted for one party for years, you'll vote for it too, no matter how much you hate the guy:-)

Akakiy, that might be how you do it in Mongolia. We don't do it that way here. We all have our favorites.
Fred Thompsan.
You heard it here first my friends. From B-rad. That will be the next President of The U.S.A.
The Democratic party has choosen the wrong 2 candidates for election.
Before I start getting the hate letters. Let me say. Barack Obama would make a good President. Hillary Clinton would make a good President.
America is not ready yet for those people.
Personally, I would cast my vote for Hillary.

yet, what Hillary is most famous for is not her husband, but her quest for Universal Health Care. She pushed for it when Bill went into office, then hit a wall of opposition and was crushed by it.

So now it will be four more years with Fred Thompson in the White House. Which will be a mistake. All you have to do is look back at what happened after Reagan. 4 years of George Sr. What a disaster he proved to be.

Possible. Whatever it's going to be, I can guarantee with a 95% certainty that next president will be a CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) member.
It sucks to live in a country with a financial elite dictatorship.

I believe Lukashenko used to give out vodka to villagers in Belarus to get votes.

LOL. They catch corrupt politicians everyday. Could someone win an election through a beer bash? I bet they could. But it's more like Akakiy says. TAX CUTS. But let's not forget special favors, like no bid contracts. Thanks D. Cheney, Thanks Haliburton.
Abortion shouldn't even be an issue. FREE CHOICE.

We've had this discussion before. My opinion is this. If said candidate is smart enough to realize he has to join the CFR to become President. Well, good for him

They are trying to hit on Fred Thompson's free choice commercial he did. He's an actor. He got paid to do that. That's what actors do. They get paid to lie. That's why he would make a good President. He can lie with a straight face.
