Hi everybody,

I'm French, so don't pay attention to my poor syntax !

I'm doing a Russian dinner for the New Year's Eve, but I'm afraid I don't know a lot about Russian food ... unless some of the stereotypes like caviar & vodka !

Can someone tell me about great meals for this type of celebration ? I've heard about Stroganov Beef, what about it ?

Thank you in advance for your help.

You can also get pickeled tomatos.

No good idea. Beff Stroganoff is the kind of gulash, it is not original reuusan meal. Also pelmeni is not russian meal, italians call it ravolli, uazeks manti, but tase are the same, one smaller, another bigger. Also pemeni traditional in China, Japan, Vietnam, Finland etc.

Thank you all for your replies, the last website brad gave me seems to be great.

All the pictures given made me hungry !

I think Pelmeni is a great choice, but I'll seek the website for other things.

Thank you again, have a merry christmas and a happy new year !
