Hi everyone need help! My bf came on K1 visa that some other woman did for him, they got married, but just now divorced. He has been in the states for 2 years, but she never did the paperwork for him. So, he now divorced and we are thinking of getting married in a few months. But afraid that he would have to go back to Russia. What should we do? Should we get an attorney so he wouldnt go back. Please help me, I can also read russian so you can send me stuff in russian. Thanks again.

What's his legal status? Does he have a green card?
If he has no papers proving his legality in USA, I suggest you visiting a lawyer immediately. Check our Russian Yellow Pages for Immigration Services and Lawyers and Legal Services

HI, THANK YOU FOR REPLY. NOW...HE DID CAME HERE WITH K1 VISA. GOT MARRIED WITHIN 90 DAYS. BUT SHE NEVER DID THE PAPERWORK FOR HIM. THEREFORE, I AM NOT SURE IF HE IS CONCIDERED LEGAL OR NOT. NOW...I AM GUESSING THAT HIS VISA IS NOT VALID SINCE SHE DID NOT DO THE PAPERWORK FOR HIM. NOW HE DIVORCED JUST RECENTLY AND NOW HE IS LIVING WITH ME AND WE WANT TO MARRY. WE HAVE NO PROBLEM GOING BACK TO RUSSIA, BUT IT WOULD BE EIASIER FOR ME SINCE I HAVE A DAUGHTER NOT TO GO BACK, PLUS I WOULD HAVE TO WORK IN ORDER TO MAKE A FIANCE VISA FOR HIM. COULD YOU HELP ME AND ADVICE ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION...HE DOES NOT HAVE A GREEN CARD OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

he will have to leave the US in order to obtain any immigration benefits! if you need more info e-mail me.
