Is it possible to cancel an account once you have signed up and if so, how do I do so? Thank you!

Yes.
First, you have to be logged in.
Go to My Profile page, at the bottom of that page there's a link to delete account. Or, go directly to Unsubscribe page. The first link is also accessible by clicking on "profile" ("профайл" link in the top-right corner of any page.
Just remember, you won't be able to login and use member services (such as posting in this Forum) after you unsubscribe.

I have changed my mind about cancelling. But maybe you can tell me about that ad for learning russian that I saw on this site the other day? I'm trying to learn russian thru living langague. but I have not gotten thru the first cd.actually I have. But the 2nd cd is soooooo bistra. The problem is that the cds do not teach me what I want to say. They teach me what they want me to hear.2 totally different things.ok. poka. hope to hear from anyone that knows about any good books or cds or both that will teach russian

oh boy, Bradcummingsham i wrote that people must pay for canceling:-) which cd are you taling about? why do you need russian? find some russian friends(or just chicks), party with them and you'll learn the language pretty soon:-) be careful, sometimes they'd teach you in a fun way, you might be thinking you're saying "hi, my name is ...", but in reality you would be saying, "hi, i'm an ashole...".

Akakiy; I do know how to say my name is Brad. mne zovut' brad. and ask " kak vasha imja?. the cds are living language cds. i think radom house distributes them.the problem with finding russian friends is; I live in a small town in N. H..Even though their have been 20 or so russians here during the suymmer. they want to improve their english skills; not give russian lessons. And I respect that.that being said.the young russians that are here; are finally starting warm up to me. but now they are going back to russia on the 29th of sept.so it is back to listening to the cds that don't really teach me anything. brad62
