The explanation about low resolution is PAST, now we have THEMIS and all kind of photographs EVEN TERMOGRAPHIC AND INFRARED so your information is old-fashioned "news". I was asking about the dark ring but since you mention the FACE I will explain to you something maybe KGB doesn't let you know:
The face in these photos are very clear but not in the "new" photos provided by Nasa. Wanna know why not? Because 1) they used HIGH PASS FILTERS which FLATTEN the image and eliminate the details, 2)the filter also eliminate the contrast, specially when 3) because of a public outcry they decided to take more photos but only AFTER A STORM OF DUST COVERED THE WHOLE PLANET, 4) these also eliminate the contrast because of the clouds and hail which alters light and eliminate clouds; 5) they chose a low solar angle from southeast which MAKES A DISTORSION of the face just like a light from below your face will distort your normal face; 6) the angle of the photo was taken from 45 degrees instead of doing it directly as the photos shown in my previous message (that process is called ORTORECTIFICATION) and we know the whole thing is a rick because the crater that in Viking photo is completely circular, with the new image taken by Mars Global Surveyor is eliptical! 2. Even if it did exist, I am not residing on the land controlled by KGB
Secondly - the new images were not flattened or have details reduced, quite the opposite and it looks like a bunch of mountains
Thirdly - hey we had some psychologists here - correct me if I am wrong but are we not "programmed" to see faces everywhere because that is the way we identify ourselves?
Look, if there used to be a civilization on Mars, good, fine, fantastic but until it is proven and not by a bunch of UFO nut cases - to me Mars is a reddish kind of planet somewhat better visible in Fall in the early evening and nothing more.

I contact the scientists and authors, in free country where I live (and is not USA) I have access to whatever books I want. Tostring, in your desire to answer QUICK it seems you JUMP all the links that I'm writing because it's impossible to read all those in such a short time. If that's the way you do your research, I regret to say is very poor. Please read and contact the scientists with e-mails and solve any doubts. I'm just giving the facts and information and photos. If the scientists (including experts in geology like the Russian I mentioned and R. Nicks are saying this is completely anomalous and the new images which are not flatten show something which is bilateral symetry reflected in a way it shouldn't and creating shadows in specif days like solstices and the face is near real pyramids and rings, etc and you insist is just a bunch of mountains for you, that means you're the kind of person that "selects" what to believe and what to disregard. That's non-scientific procedure, that's why I investing time to explain what is Nasa doing with the filters. You didn't even check the images and you refute or want to discuss?
What your physiologists explain about seeing human things is called "pareidolia" and is not just Russian science knowledge but something well known. Now, there's a difference between this and watching real artificial structures. That's why I included links mentioning historical art using bifurcated faces. If you confuse one thing with another is your own affair. I came to share, not to convince. If that's the only thing or "data" you are providing, well, well, I expect someone with better understanding come here and discuss it properly with more efficient skills, I rather say.

Ok, despite the accusations, I had read the information that was provided. Now, let’s establish one thing here there are scientists and then there are “scientists”. You are providing the information from the second kind. Anyone who has some involvement with precision sciences must know that all theories must be based on facts that can be proven and the theories themselves must be proven as well, right? Now what you had shown to me, and to everyone who had read your posts that these “scientists” are basing their theories on images. And also that the evil NASA did alter images to make object look like something else. Did it ever occur to you that this might be a two way street? Because there is no way to alter an image, right? I mean the images are a concrete piece of evidence and no tempering with them is possible? Let’s not start with so called integrity of the “scientists” that you had mentioned – all they do is sell books to a dumb douche bags like yourself and are making money out of it.
