Agora Gallery in New York announces the current and upcoming Contemporary Art at its Best exhibitions showcasing two Russian artists, Olga Baby and Ta Barbanakova.
The upcoming Collective Exhibition: Contemporary Art at its Best runs July 7 - August 22 in Agora Gallery's SoHo location at 415 West Broadway. Reception will be held Thursday, July 13, 6 - 8 PM. Admittance is open to the public and free of charge.
A native of Russia, Olga Baby creates whimsical, mystically inspired drawings that reflect the artist’s vivid imagination. The drawings have an immediate decorative appeal, possessing a graceful, fluid quality. Baby’s work is a beautiful blend of imagination and reality. The current Collective Exhibition: Contemporary Art at its Best opened June 3 and runs until June 23 in Agora Gallery's Chelsea location at 530 West 25th Street. Reception is Thursday, June 8, 6 - 8 PM. Admittance is open to the public and free of charge.
In an impressionistic dappling of blue shadows, rose-colored light, and soft hues of green and yellow, Russian artist Ta Barbanakova paints scenes that are more whimsical and dreamy than realistic, like vignettes from a classic tale recounted generation to generation.
