Mostly from Russia and US, some from Canada. I've seen a couple from UK, mostly trying to post advertisements.

Well, nice to meet you people.

Reason why I'm trying to learn russian is because I feel at home with the language. It seems natural to speak. Not easy at first - but comfortable when you get used to it.

I also think that russian people are generally welcoming, the men are wise and the women are beautiful Razz

About the advertisers: is this really a big problem? Would you never consider allowing signature links? (They can't be much worse than the Google Ads)

Hi there and welcome. Since you are from GB, maybe you could share what ordinary brits think about UK providing political asylum to terrorists and oligarhs from Russia?

P.S. Not all people on here are nice, I for one never claimed to be nice Cool

why you think so? I see you meaned london bombing one year ago. but what about terrorism in moscow in Sept.2000? more than 200 people died in their bedrooms at midnight? 170 died in moscow in november 2002 during NordOst show in the theatre (Dubrovka str.) 09-03-2004 more than 300 children (age from 6 to 16) were killed in Beslan as hostages.
1995 - 170 (incl. pregnant women) killed in Budenovsk (Stavropol region) during assault of hospital of this town.
1996 - Kyslyar (litte town) was invaded by chechen's. 120 civilians were killed.
etc, etc, ets
Just enough?

But none of those terrorists were russians. Corrupted Russians let the terrorists in, but in Britain they are not in charge.

So it seems to me that UK has a double standard when it comes to terrorism. On one hand it is against terrorism and Al Qaeda, on the other hand it gave political asylym to a known Chechen terorist who was directly involved in blowing up buildings, taking hostages etc etc. He is even wanted by Interpol, but it seems that UK will go to any lengths and bend the law every which way to be a thorn in Russia's side. I wouldn't touch Chechen blood money with a ten foot pole but I guess it's all good for British banks. Same thing with Berezovsky's fortune - nevermind that it has all been pretty much extorted, ill gained and simply stolen, as long as he spends it in UK and continues to spread bs about how he's a political refugee, it all good? No wonder Michelangelo equaled Great Britain to a thorn puncturing a toe of the goddess of Justice in one of his works.
