What you are suggesting here is to download a Toolbar. Any toolbar, including Google's, is a Spyware, beacuse it reports back to the server without user's intervention.

Anyone who wants to download FireFox (and I highly encourage to do so), can go to Mozilla's website: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
